Our annual steam gala will feature locomotives from the home fleet, alongside some Great Western workhorses! 

Join us for three days of intensive steam action with the locomotives being put through their paces over some of the most challenging gradients in preservation.Two Western Region workhorses will be visiting, and operating alongside our home fleet of locomotives. 

All trains will be running in conjunction with our fleet of Heritage buses, which will be operating between Ongar, North Weald, Epping Underground and Shenfield National Rail stations.

Our on train bars will be also be open, serving a selection of draught beers, as well as a range of wines, lagers and soft drinks.

As well as our busy three train service we hope to be able to provide Brake Van rides. 

You can ride behind the Hogwarts Express locomotive on all the events or operating days below!

The Epping Ongar Railway reserves the right to substitute an alternative steam locomotive, or diesel locomotive, in case of locomotive failure or other avoidable circumstance.
